If you were unaware that some credit card issuers have their heads way too far up their asses, this will clarify the picture:

A great article detailing out the worst credit card ever, which falls to the Continental Finance MasterCard.

The highlights of the card are listed below, and please refrain from your snickers when reading the points. Some of the terms are so ridiculous but they are legit, I mean you can’t make this stuff up! It’s like the team who created this card huddled in a room together, and thought of ways they could help the bad credit people of this world, and this is what they came up with this Frankenstein of a beast. A congrats is well deserved. Anyways, on to the terms:

  • Account setup fee: $99 - Fine, I’ve seen higher
  • Program participation fee: $89 - Fine you have bad credit, a one time charge isn’t that awful
  • Annual fee: $49 - OK, another fee, but this should help out my credit
  • Account maintenance fee: $120 (charged @ $10/month) - Maintenance?!?!? why not bundle this into the annual fee? If they did that, they wouldn’t have to print this fee on the bill and could pass on the ink savings to me!
  • Purchase APR: 19.92% - standard
  • Authorized user fee: $30
  • Credit limit increase fee: $25 - Get this…. they will increase your limit (obviously doing you a favor) but charge you $25 for that privilege! thanks but no thanks.
  • Internet payment fee: $4 for each authorized internet payment - WTF?! aren’t I saving them money by using the “Series of Tubes called the Internet”. By helping them be more efficient they’re charging me. That’s like getting a hooker to pay you for the service…. wait…. that actually doesn’t sound half bad. I see where they’re coming from now.

So after everything is said and done, they leave you with a $53 credit limit! Have fun, don’t spend it all in one place. Hey, can you pick me up some groceries on the way home? no can do, credit card’s full. Wanna buy me dinner? nope, card’s full. Hey, can you pay for the cable bill this month on your card? no can do…. can you pay for your son’s education? no can do….

You get the point.
I could try to dissuade you from ever applying for this card, but I want to see if anyone would actually do such a thing
