Bank of America ATM Fees Increase
If charging a non-customer $2 wasn’t enough, Bank of America has gone ahead and increased their non-customer ATM usage fee by a whopping 50% to $3.
They blame the increase in fees to upgrades to decades old technology on their ATMs. Interesting how customers or would-be customers need to pay in order to use recent technology like basic software to withdraw money. Now it can cost over $5 ($3 BoA and $2 your bank) to use a BoA ATM if you aren’t a current customer. Unfortunately BoA is the largest retail bank in the US with over 17,000 ATMs. Hard to avoid.
Worst part is, most other banks will probably follow this trend since they don’t want BoA to be the only one screwing their customers.
Smart thing to do would be to find your bank’s ATM…so, cross the street you lazy ass.
